Hungry? Try Eagle Rock.

{1} Taco Spot {2} Auntie Em's {3} The Oinkster {4} Larkin's

Unless you went to Occidental or formerly lived in Silverlake and then had a baby, you probably have no idea where Eagle Rock is.  That’s too bad, because there are so many tasty options on the East Side.  Breakfast, Cupcakes, BBQ and Belgian Fries: obviously all bases are covered.  So, here are a few highlights to whet your palate.

  1. Taco Spot: Get the Carne Asada Fries.  Trust me.  The also have the best Chilaquiles I have ever had.  Breakfast served all day.
  2. Auntie Em’s:  Red Velvet Cupcake.  Check out their fresh baked daily bakery case.  They even have mini cupcakes if you’re feeling like a fatty.
  3. The Oinkster:  Amazing Pastrami sandwich.  Belgian style fries & home made dipping sauces.
  4. Larkin’s: Portabello Mushroom FRIES.  BBQ.  Contemporary Soul Food in large portions at a super cute cottage.  On a side note, this guy also owns a restaurant Downtown (Mac & Cheeza) that servers nothing but Mac N Cheese… but we’ll get into that later…
