Once upon a time, I was having a hankering for kimchee — on EVERYTHING. So much so, that I chose to announce it to the world.

…then out from the ether of the twitterverse came the voice of an unusual kimchee ally

Really? on cookies. Ok. I’ll try anything.  But little did I know, an idea had been sparked & and would not be squelched until that cookie had been birthed into the world.

The owner/chef of Deluscious, Lydia Shayne, has these crazy ideas all the time – resulting in fantastic couture cookies filled with potato chips & snicker bars to vegan cookies that rival your classic cookie (which they also do very well). This cookie was no different.

Obviously I love kimchee & being Asian and a closet hipster, I have been known to partake in some hipster ketchup (aka Sriracha). I couldn’t wait to try it. So much so, that I asked my fellow foodie friend Lynn Chen @ The Actors Diet to come taste it with me.  She had eaten far too many bruxie waffles to add another bite to her day but agreed to come document the adventure.

I had just been on a commercial where I was conveniently in 40s styled hair & makeup, so the effect was doubly surreal.  Lynn was beginning to think my hair always looked like this since the last two times she has seen me, I was dolled up in some kind of retro craziness.
