Put Your Office in Your Pocket

Once upon a time, instead of holding a passenger, the front seat of my car held via seat-belt, a mini hanging-file-folio and a portable printer. Safety first! My beverage holder cradled a cup full of pens and multi-colored highlighters. Such was the life of a transient with a mobile office. What single piece of technology could change your life in the New Year? There is a simple answer, but it’s best if I explain a little bit. We live online: banking, email, social networking, extra curricular activities, nearly everything we do has an online equivalent, which means a password will be needed to participate. Passwords are now a fact of life, particularly to life on-line. In an informal poll of my friends, not one person had a secure way to manage their passwords.

For me, tech and travel is all about two things: power and connectivity. Comfort is a a very close second. I have built my life around being able to access nearly everything through an internet browser, so if I can’t get online, that is a problem.
